Software engineering projects are selected and undertaken in consultation with a member of the academic staff, usually working in a small group in conjunction with an industry partner or a designated client. Projects are related to the design, implementation and testing of software systems with associated literature reviews. Team-oriented software engineering processes are applied during all phases of the project. Management activities are undertaken and a range of software engineering tools are applied to resolve problems arising during the execution of the software development process. The main focus of this unit is problem identification and the development of a project proposal. -- Course Website
